Solo II Pre-Registration

What is it?  Solo II Pre-Registration is a way for you to fill out your car and driver information as an alternative to doing this at the event itself.  Information loaded into pre-registration is forwarded to the chief registrar and ends up in the computer at the event itself.  All that is left for the entrant is to show up, have car tech'd, check in at the registration table, show SCCA card/license and pay the entry fee.

Why do it?  Here are a few reason why you should pre-register:
1) The on-line pre-registration makes checking in at the event much quicker.  Basically, check in and pay your entree fee.
2) For events that have a limit on the number of entrants, you're guaranteed a spot.
3) The registration team will THANK YOU for helping them finish on time (which also means more time for racing!).  It saves us time from having to find your registration card, key your information into the computer, and gives us some indication of who's coming.
4) It's a FREE service!

How do I do it?  It's really pretty easy.  Follow these steps:
1) Go to http://www.myautoevents.com/.
2) If this is your first visit to the site, begin by selecting 'Create Account'. Complete your information and choose 'Submit'. This should immediately send you an email message with your account ID and password.
4) Open your email software and look for the message from MyAutoEvents. Open it and get your ID and password.
5) Return to your browser with the http://www.myautoevents.com/ screen open and choose 'Sign In'.  Enter your new ID and password.
6) Select 'Autocross / Solo2'.
7) Select an event you wish to register for.
8) Click on 'Register Online Now!' and complete your registration information.

FAQ/Additional information on Pre-Registration:

When is the deadline to pre-register?
The deadline is always the Friday before the event, by midnight (unless otherwise indicated by the event details in MyAutoEvnets.com.  The date listed for the deadline is 12:00am that day; so in other words, the date listed as the deadline is always a Saturday, but that's 12:00am Saturday morning (midnight Friday).

Do I have to key in my registration information every time before an event?  No.  The information you store in your user ID will be brought up again when you register for future events.  You can modify it at any time.  If you need to modify information already submitted on an entry form for a particular event, you can log back in and make changes for that event.  You can also cancel your registration for that event as well.  Another nice thing about this is that if you decide to attend an event other than a CKR event, and that region uses http://www.myautoevents.com/, then you can use the same process in pre-registering for their events as well.  The Kentucky and Cincinnati regions are perfect examples.

Do I have to key in a SCCA member number? No, this is not required to register.  However, if you are a member or an associate member of the Central Kentucky Region, you MUST key in your member number in order to obtain points throughout the solo season.  Points are tallied at the end of the season for year-end trophies.  Your SCCA member number is queried against the CKR's membership listing to automate points tracking.  If you do not list your member number, you won't earn any points for the season.

Can I select a work assignment preference? Yes!  When pre-registering, you can also indicate the work assignment you prefer.  Although we can't guarantee the work position will be available, it will give us an idea of your preference and we'll try to make it happen.  Below is a listing of work assignments required at each heat:

No. of People Work Assignment
1 Computer (Data Entry)
1 Master Logger
1 "Control" Radio
2 Auditors
1 Announcer
1 Starter
2 Grid
9-15 Corner Workers (usually 3 to 5 corner stations, w/ 3 people at each station)
1 Waiver station/entrance

What if I select a car number that is the same as another already in my class?  When you submit your registration, MyAutoEvents checks to see if your 1st choice car number is available.  If there are no other entrants registered already in your class using the same number, your car number for the event will be your 1st choice.  If the car number is already taken by another entrant registered in your class, then your 2nd choice is checked for availability.  The same process applies for the 2nd choice.  If both numbers are taken, then an error message is displayed at the time of registration.  Due to the possibility of having a number assignment conflict, it is a good idea to obtain extra numbers or have individual numbers if you are using the magnetic signs on your car so you can arrange the order (e.g #1 and #2 could be used as car #12 or #21)
