Solo Safety Steward Training

CKR will host a Safety Steward School on Saturday, April 5, 1 to 4 p.m.

It will be at Ron Rogers’ office (Regency Road, just off Nicholasville, check the web site (ckrscca.org) for detailed directions, look under board meetings).

George Schweikle will conduct this training session, the first step to becoming a Solo Safety Steward. Anyone interested in pursuing becoming one of these should attend. There are some other requirements which will be explained during the training session.

Solo Safety Stewards are important; without them we can’t autocross. They approve the course layout and other logistics at the site and generally ensure that we are having fun, but won’t endanger any drivers, spectators or the cars. They get to wear these really cool hats, too.

Safety Stewards are required to own a copy of the 2008 Solo Rule Book. It can be purchased for $20 from National (www.scca.com). Bring your copy to the school.

Space is limited. We can only take up to 12 people in the class, so please register with Ginny Eager, ginnyeager@insightbb.com, 859-200-6014. If you have questions or need more details, please contact George Schweikle at schweiklg@insightbb.com, 859.272.3886.

Please RSVP to George Schweikle by Wednesday, March 30, at schweikg@insightbb.com or 272-3886 if you would like to attend.
